I had a little taste of each of these last night. Each provided a memorable note. The Copper Sky provided a tobacco note,,, now I’ve tasted tobacco in several whiskeys ( Booker’s Kentucky Chew comes to mind), but never anything like this. Red Man Loose Leaf, Man. It was crazy. Either I’m super-tasting tonight or I’m more wasted than I thought.
With the MM, it was burnt movie theater popcorn. I know that’s really specific, and you’d think it would be unpleasant, but it wasn’t. In conjunction with the sweetness of the wheated bourbon, it worked. Probably m second favorite of the MM biannual releases.
