I started with a Boli PC from '97 and coffee.

For lunch, I had a nasty unbanded who knows what the hell it was but it tasted like ---never mind, it was awful!

I just finished a LARGE glass of scotch and a Gurkha Regent my wife got me a year ago for my birthday...it was absolutely fantasticic.

What's on for you fellers todaay?

Tonight is Opus X tasting night--I'm hosting a micro-Herf at my house tonight to introduce some folks to Opus X cigars. There's gonna be 5 of us smoking, and 3 of them haven't had an Opus X before.

After that, we're all probably gonna migrate into either CC Montes or NC Cuesta-Rey Stanford No9s.

Should be a good cigar night.

Started the day with a bowl of McClelland 5100 and later, a bowl of Frog Morton - Across the Pond. Finished the evening with a Series A from '02. A good smoking day. . .

LOL! No, no one got sick...these were are all cigar smokers, they just hadn't had Opus before. But it went well, and was pretty much exactly what I expected. Comments included:

"This is a really good friggin cigar; it's got an almondy-nutty flavor"

"It's good, but wasn't what I was expecting compared to a normal Fuente"

"Crap, my cigar just went out..."

"This is my favorite cigar I've had so far"

"I like it, but I've had $5 cigars I like as well or better"

"Crap, my cigar just went out again!"

"Yeah, my cigar just went out again too."

"This mellowed out in the middle, but it's picked up nicely at the end"

"The flavor of this Robusto size is different from the larger Opus sizes"

"Where's the lighter?"

"Crap, I think I've got a nicotine buzz!"

"Can someone hand me a lighter?"

i was split between lighting up the cohiba or a CAO criollo, neither of which i've had before.

the siglo VI is rather nice... perhaps it will become my first (genuine) ISOM box purchase :blob:

I opened my humi and stared at the large pile of NCs that I've been neglecting...decided I was in a maduro mood, so I grabbed a Hoyo Excalibur Dark Knight.

Sitting on the front porch smoking it right now.
