RyJ Cedros after breakfast then, CAO Cameroon, CAO Brasilia, Padron 4000 and a RyJ Reserva Real. We where helping the new B&M owner move furniture and he kept stuffing cigars in our pockets. I may be stiff but had some nice smokes.

The wife and I broke out a couple lawn chairs, and light up the outdoor fire thingy, since its still 55 out. I smoked a complete CT hand rolled. She had a CAO Brazilia. We also had a couple of espressos.
A Padron 4000 natural while sitting on the porch. Was pretty dang good, just not as good as a maduro wrapper.

nothing so far.....to cold out today!
Was looking for Christmas presents, for my friend of course, and came upon the http://www.stogieguys.com/2006/05/stogie-reviews-maria-mancini-magic.html blog on MARIA MANCINI review. By the way I like the the he describe it "... I knew I was going to lenjoy this cigar.."
Asked a few other brothers, and found they too like it. So purchased a box and waited for its arrival. Kids get home first, and called - your package arrived and we've put it in the bar fridge for you. Don't know exactly were the practise started, but I usually put the box in the fridge 2 days, freezer one day, fridge one day, room temp one day, into the humidor 2 weeks, before openning the box. The first process is to kill any beetle eggs, and the rest, is to rest and get the cigar back to the right humidity level.
Purchased around the start of december, I am just getting around to open and try one today. The wait was worth it. I really like square pressed cigars, (thanks Gispert), and the dark almost toothless feel of the cigar was just right. No too thick and not too slim. First third, light smooth smoke, little earth, hint of the woody flavour as stogey man suggested, but I differ that I found it to be a light to medium cigar rather than the medium to bold range. To me joya de nicaragua is a bold cigar. I don't the magic mountain series as a bold cigar. It is a good 45 min smoke and I liked the way it softened up over the next two thirds. Haven't broken one up yet, maybe will sacrifice the next cigars two third. Always like to start a new box, start a cigar, smoke about third, then take my knife and slowly open it and see what really in it, and sniff the inner, outer and binder leaves just to explore the cigar constructions, truth in advertising - is it really top leaf, and to do burn tests on the inner leaves. A friend of mine over a bar one night, took a smoldering match stick, and touched the underside of leaf from a broken cigar. He said if it b urns in a tight circle, it shows that its cured properly. (any ways that's what I've been told, and have fun testing the theory).
back to the cigar, 4/5 construction, 4/5 smell, 3/5 aftertaste (mild cigars seem to get lost too fast for me, as I like the blending of the aftertaste with certain foods and drink), sold 3/5 for taste, maybe a 4. Have to smoke a few more to get a better feel on the taste bits.

I fired up a mystery habano from the humidor about two hours ago when I began my quest to restore electricity to my garage.
No dice on the electricity but the cigar is still burning and tasting good out in the "Herf Shack" watching the game.
