Bull City Cigar Co. - La Famiglia
Maduro Corojo wrapper, Ecudorian binder, Dominican filler
It started off with a great taste of chocolate, coffee, spice, and rich tobacco. It transitioned into rich tobacco with the chocolate and coffee taking a back seat and adding in a nice earthy taste. The rich tobacco is the star of the show from about 1" until the near the end of the second third. The secondary flavors come back towards the front and everything balances out. Through the first half it maintains a masculine feel despite its smoothness.
Is it worth $7.59 per single, yes. It easily holds it's own against cigars like the Nica Rustica and is better than the JDN Dark Corojo in my opinion. A really good smoke but a little strong for a post breakfast smoke, even if you eat a stack of pancakes and some sausage. I recommend following their advice to eat it after a large pasta dinner. Plenty of nicotine to go around if you like to retrohale most puffs.
Under different circumstances I would buy a bundle and let them sit a couple of months. ($6.20 each by the bundle.)
