Absolute garbage.

Was mildly intrigued by these when I first saw them. Didn't believe they specifically blended anything for the beer pairings but thought maybe they'd just found something that they thought paired well and marketed accordingly.

Lit well, open draw, lots of smoke, but the damn thing tasted like it was dipped in vanilla extract. Went back and re read the description, says nothing about being flavored. Suspect some pipe baccy in the roll, cut it after I put it down and did look like thats the case. Not welcome in my cigar.

Probably wouldn't have found it so offensive if there was some honesty in their description. Put it down right after taking the picture.

Thanks for the warning! I had been thinking about trying these and had no clue.

It started as citrus with leather coming in next. A flavor that reminded me of the smell of dry hay came in as the second third approached. Then white pepper joined the fray and the citrus morphed through honey and into something a bit heavier with a slight hint of vanilla. A good light stick that reaches medium by the latter parts of the second third. It probably works best as a morning smoke or when you are smoking while distracted. Worth having around, but not box worthy. A couple of singles should do the trick.

I went to MACNA this weekend with my Dad in Washington DC. It's the Marine Aquarium Conference of North America and the first time it was held in DC in 10 years. So even while geeking out on fish and corals, I still managed to fit in a few cigars over the weekend!
Friday night I had a Newworld Connecticut while sipping on some Oban. My Dad isn't a cigar smoker, but we both enjoyed the scotch!

Saturday morning I managed to get in a Sam Leccia White Label after breakfast.

And Kristoff on Saturday night before the banquet.

Sunday evening when I got home, I enjoyed a Vegas 5 'A' This one was better that the first one I had. Glad it was because I ended up with a whole damn box of them from CBid.

And now, I'm enjoying one of the home rolled cigars from last week. A little soft as I had reported before, but burning pretty well.

What to smoke next....
