I'm probably looking way to far into this but if the box is called 12 honest men and there are 12 cigars to a box then wouldn't each cigar be an honest man??

Nope, each cigar is 12 Honest Men so therefore if you smoke a box you have then smoke 144 Honest Men. You just weren't looking far enough into it.
