I am currently smoking a (Limited Edition) CAO LX2 Lancero. I didn't like the LX2 at all, but I gotta say that this lancero is VERY tasty... I may have to revist the line...

Also - did anyone notice that Holts is now selling the Legacy's in singles & ten packs? I wanna get some, but I've got 'priorities' right now...
(It's all I can do to resist some of the killer sales going on here lately!)

Today I smoked my first Opus X (Perfecxion No.5), it was a great little cigar!!! After that I followed it up with a Cruzado Elitas ( Thanks cba191). Both were very good cigars!!! I have one more of both that I am going to save for a rainy day!!!!

I had heard that those need to rest a while. I have some, but have been letting them take a nice long nap. We'll see :)

Today I had a 5 Vegas Classic. I've had them before and very nearly hated them..."musty" flavor. But today, I enjoyed this one. Much creamier after a few months in the humi. The "musty" flavor was still there but much less pronounced. A pretty relaxing mild-medium stick.

The wife & I shared a Tempus Lancero & a CT1916 - I was surprised how similar their profiles are. Tempus had a bit more spice, the Torano was a bit more rich. I kept going back and forth between the two... They were both very good.

After a great meal of mcdonalds #7 with biggy fries, I wanted to top it of with a good cigar. After going through the holland tunnel i programmed the GPS to cigars and it took me only .7miles out of my way to Hoboken Cigars. Small cigar store. the owner, Don Donato hand rolls his own brand of cigars. He took me into the smallish humidor and showed me a double corona(Maduro). It looked like a West Coast Tat. I immediately thought of the Wig. Returning to the car I lit the cigar and immediatley got a taste of spice. I knew I was going to enjoy this cigar. The spice stayed for a while then all of a sudden there was a taste of dry chocolate. The sweetnes of the maduro wrapper and the chocolate and spice stayed all the way through the the cigar. I beleive my mind went to a nutty flavor at the beginning of the end. The cigar burned evenly and the ash was a whitish grey. It lasted to the toll at the NJ PA border. Any way if you are from NJ near Hoboken stop in. I will definetly try and pick up some more of those Donatos hand made double cornonas.

I smoked a padilla 1932 lancero from at least a year ago. I recently did a trade for 11 of these, and they were hella banged up. The other end of the trade explained fully, so I was expecting to have to do some work on them before i could smoke them. So I got out my bottle of El Torcedor and an old dog rocket with a similar colored wrapper. While the dog rocket was still nice and plyable i cut a bunch of small patches out of the wrapper. Then I patched all chips in the wrapper, glued the spots where the wrapper was lifting, and bam I have 11 perfectly smokeable 1932's that otherwise would have ended up in the trash. I am super stoked on these even if they do look like a bunch of wounded soldiers lined up in the infirmary.
