Uncharted - Robusto
Another JR exclusive from our buddy AJ. I used the "French method" of lighting the cigar before clipping the cap. It started off with tobacco, sweet berry, spice, and espresso. It feels a little light in the bunch. We'll see how it works out.
Edit:
This one isn't AJ's best effort. The sweet berry is short lasted and replaced with some kind of taste like lemon zest without any of the redeeming qualities. It leaves after a half dozen puffs and you've got earth, espresso, wood, and sweet tobacco. A gentle spice comes and goes. It isn't a bad cigar, it just lacks presence.
There is a tertiary taste that was driving me crazy. It is raw nuts. It is nearly imperceptible unless you retro. Then it seems to come through at the end. It almost seems to be tagging along. Then the ash fell and it was a funnel.
At the halfway point it becomes dark earth, coffee, and tobacco. The spice creeps back in with more presence. There flavor moves past medium and the body is picking up.
If you want a $4 AJ go with something on Cbid or buy the Witchdoktor. If you just want to try it anyway, grab a couple of singles and leave them alone for over a month.
