Also, meet Blackjack. He is a stray that we have been feeding and socializing for a couple months. He appeared in the backyard one day, after we'd seen him living in the storm drains like some kind of furry Pennywise. He'd hide under my BBQ pit and hiss at me in my own yard, the little sh*t. But I'm a firm believer in felines being employed to keep away rodents, so we fed him. He learned to trust us, and now he sits in the yard all day waiting for ear scratches and pets. Blackjack is the best of all boys, rugged though he may look.
