Alright everyone,

When my father was still kickin' (bless his heart), he did a TON of business traveling for his company. Over time, he racked up enough frequent flyer miles to go anywhere in the world round trip probably 10 times over...This summer I am looking to travel abroad for the first time, and am not sure where to go.

Esteli was my first choice. The trips that I have heard about sound amazing, but I think this is a trip to go on with cigar buddies, not just a buddy or my brother. Also, I think I should try to travel more "mainstream" for the first time, just to get some experience.

So, where should I go?

If you have a suggestion that you do not see on the poll, just post it!

Thanks for your help guys, and thanks for reading

Out of the places listed... I have only been to Dublin, Ireland during a spring break (college) one year (the same week as St. Patrick's Day over there).

This was during my drinking days, so it was one hell of time; Guinness Factory, Viper Bar, multiple after hour bars, discos, taking a train into the country side, hiking, pubs, and just about anything else a college kid could get in trouble with. While it was expensive (and I had free room and board) with the exchange rate of the Euro, it was one of the more memorable trips I have been lucky enough to experience.

Hope that helps.

I say Italy. I am headed there this summer also for my honeymoon. I have heard that it is somewhat hard to find a good shop over there to buy cigars though.

I don't know how true that is though. Can anyone else chime in on that fact?

I said England because I always wanted to see London and visit Warr's Harley-Davidson. Warr's is Europe's Oldest Harley-Davidson Dealership.

But "the kid" is right about Spain, if you really want to get into CC's, Spain is the place to go. At one time it was said that Spain was always first to get CC's and especially new CC releases.

Thanks for all the suggestions, and with all of your great points, it's making the decision harder than ever!

My mother and I were talking and she suggested something less main-stream as a family...something like China, or South America.

I definitely like darker beers as well Dan.

So I have a while before I need to decide, and it's not like this will be my only trip. All of those places will get hit by me sooner or later, it's just a matter of which to travel to first. Thanks again everyone, and once I decide for sure, I'll dig up this thread and let you guys know!

The wife and I travel alot and Italy is my favorite place with it's rich history for art and architecture. If that gets boring there is always the Tuscany Valley and all of the wineries. If that gets to be boring you can go south into the Mediterranean. The food in and around Parma is amazing and the local towns when you get out of the tourist areas are a great way to relax. I'd love to move to Italy and live if things get too dicey here in the states in the very near future.
