I admit... never had a Robusto T, but the Reyes is one of my absolute favorite smokes. I have a hard time keeping my hands off of those.

08 coloniales are fantastic right now.
Thanks for that! I'll have to find some more. I did a split of '08s but traded a couple and burned the rest--might have 1-2 left. Last I had was a few months ago--very good, but still didn't have the caramel that find in more aged versions.

In term of profile and overall experience, the Reyes is the closest Trini to the T, for me. I find the T to be more than just a big Reyes, though.

The T's also seem to be gaining spiciness with age, which is cool. To me, the best T's I've had were as good or better than a Behike 52--though none compare to the one Behike 54 I had that was just perfection.

I need a box or 2 of Rob Extras (stocked up on T's) then I plan to get more of the 3 Trinis that remain.

I talked to someone yesterday whose opinion I respect, since he's pretty much taught me how to evaluate cigars on a different level. He also loves the Trinidad T's and opines that HSA might have taken the T's off the market because it was competing too much with the CoRo. He agreed that it would be no surprise to see the T's resurface as an EL.

Just one man's opinion on the matter.

Speaking of Trinidad. . . I just smoked the worst Coloniales of my life. It was partially plugged, tasted terrible and was the first one from an '07 box. God, I hope the rest are better.

That makes no sense. The CoRo is less expensive than the Rob T. If Habanos were selling more Robusto Ts than CoRos they'd be happy and likely making greater profits.

I find the whole Trinidad line to be more than I can afford. I don't mind dropping some coin on a good cigar, but I can but whole boxes of PSD4s for much cheaper. That being said, I don't recall ever having a Trini, so maybe I am missing out on my favourite cigar. lol!

They are almost the same price and I have to agree, the only reason to cut them would have been for the reason mentioned. That said...I REALLY dont like the CORO...the only cigar in Cohibas classic line I dont enjoy.
