Hi!
As some of you might know I´m planing to visit US for the first time with my fiance! My trip was planned in late September but I just cant wait especially after becoming a member of this forum I´m really looking forward herfing with some of the brothers from BOTL. So Last night I cancelled our tickets and will do this trip late august ( I would come now if we could but thats sadly not an option).
We will be in Orlando since I have famil there but a trip to Miami with a stop in Fort Lauderdale is planned. We are planing to visit Disney world, Universal studios and I´ll be hitting all the cigar stores I cant find and herfs  enjoying some great food and doing some shopping and visiting some shooting ranges and have some fun, ranges are VERY restricted and expencive here in Sweden.

Planing to rent a car from enterprise and as I understand they have good service and good prices. ( you know a better place pls let me know=

I can pay up to 1000$ for 3 nights at a good hotel in Miami and want to live maximum 15 min from south beach. I read very good thing about the Epic Hotel. (If you have any pointers about wich hotel I should stay in pls let me know)

I appriciate any tips you have since I will be booking everything asap!

and don't carry your wallet in your pants, you'll get mugged. You need to have all your money in your socks, no joke. You have seen the Orlando magic basketball players, everyone in Orlando is that big, and willing to take your money by force.

And be careful if you get mugged, give them the money. Almost every american carries a gun, and we even have gun class in elementary school.

Don't say the word "blood(s)" or "crip(s)".

Talk to your current insurance carrier.

When I went to Mexico, they just added $45 to my next bill to insure me for 7 days in Mexico. However without the insurance, you can get totally screwed if you get in an accident or even pulled over. Many states require proof of insurance when an officer pulls you over. Without it they can impound the car ETC… Now that I said all of that… Can’t you just get the insurance they provide at enterprise? You may have to show your current Swedish policy, but I don’t see a big issue here.. Call Enterprise IN Miami and ask them what the insurance costs. Shouldn’t be a problem, if you have a valid Swedish License.

Thing is it does not work the same way here in Sweden, there are laws so the insurance comapines cant screw you, you have trafik, half and full insurance and that it. And my car insurance is only for my car not if I drive anything else. I have healt insurance (all Swedish citizents are insured by the state here) and since I bought the tickets with my visa card my bank insures my and my fiance for any health issues under the trip up to 10,000,000 Swedish kronor (about 1,3 miljon $)
They have some extra insurance (enterprise) wich of them do I need? Liability etc?

Well all you really need is enough so that you don't get arrested before you get on a the plane back to Sweden...ok I'm kidding. Kind Of.. You are insured for your injuries already, and Enterprise will make you have enough insurance to cover the car, and injuries to another person. So maybe just exclude your injuries from it and save a little money but I'm thinking only $5-$7 daily. I do not think it costs too much to add full coverage to a rental car. But if your Swedish insurance will not cover any other car, then the safe bet is to buy the best Enterprise has. It's only for a short time, so the cost is not terrible.

I don't have any suggestions on where to stay but you're hitting some great places and I'm sure you'll have a blast.

On the rental car, check with your credit card company as some of them offer extra insurances when rentals are paid on the card. I have a corp AmEx and I always waive the additional insurances as I'm covered under the card.

I sure hope you've got Corona Cigars on your hit list!!!
