As said Ill be visiting some shooting ranges, what is nice to shoot with? I really want to try the desert eagle. Is it possible to shoot with full auto guns?
I don't know anything about Florida, but I think gun laws are mostly the same for the whole nation. I'm not sure if any ranges would have full auto guns for rent, it takes 8-9 months to get the proper license to own a fully automatic weapon, and I doubt just any person that walks in can rent and shoot one. That said, if you find somebody that has one, go for it. I have a feeling that you might not want to shoot the Desert Eagle too many times, it hurts like bitch. But it does feel pretty badass, seeing one in a movie gives you no idea how huge they are. Try to get a gold plated one like Borat haha

If you plan on hitting all the parks(Disney, Universal, MGM, Epcot, ect... then at least 3 days, if just Disney then 1 day is more than enough
This is a pretty good estimate... depends on now much you want to see and do at each park. If you are able to I 'think' some of the parks sell a pass that lets you go to the front of the line or a shorter line. Not sure if that is still available but something to check on. The lines can be the killer at the parks. Last time I was there (about 5 years ago) you could go to the rides and get a printed ticket that gave you a time to ride the ride - it might be 2 hours in the future but you could go do other stuff and come back to the ride.

Oh, and you have to get one of the ice creams shaped like Mickey Mouse and then bite a chunk out of his ear.

If you come to Dallas I'll let you shoot my full-auto MAC 11-9mm! It's a heck of a bullet hose!

No license needed to own a full-auto but you have to go through all of the NFA ATF Form 4 nonsense. There are ranges that rent full-auto for you to shoot onsite. Not sure if there are any in Florida - I'd suggest googling it.

I took some of my friends from Sweden to our local gun range and they had a BLAST!

Ok, my brother-in-law talked about the form 4 like it was a license, that is where I got my info about it, he had a MAC 11 for a while, but sold it. He said to be able to buy it they did everything but give him a rectal exam lol. His had a strap on the bottom to hold on to, and you better hold on tight

I live in Panama City, Florida and I damn sure walked into a gun range, rented a Desert Eagle (chrome lol, they DID have a gold one though!!) and shot 7 rounds...I would've shot more but my hand started to bruise and almost bleed... *yes I was holding it right, it also hurt my shoulder as it is a freakin' hand cannon.* It was AWESOME to shoot that sucker because a guy next to me had a .357 and when I shot, I think he shat himself because he literally had never seen a Deagle.

At the same place (Used to be called Gun Fun), I shot an M9 fully automatic machine gun. Kickass gun with no kick and pretty accurate. I was 22 and no license or training or anything like that. I just had to give him my license to hold while I shot and pay out the ass.

I think I paid $15 an hour to rent the Desert Eagle and $2.50 a round. For the machine gun, I paid $25 an hour to rent and $25 a box of 50 rounds (and you could unload 50 in a snap).

Funny story about the Desert Eagle, the owner said the most rounds anyone ever shot was 13. Some Dutch guy came in and was trying to impress his friends and kept shooting but when he was done he had a split under his thumb in his palm that was bleeding. Said the guy was hurting like hell...Any handgun that shoots half-inch bullets feels like nothing I ever imagined!! It is, however, surprisingly accurate though and fun!! Heavy too!

I know exactly what you mean about the desert eagle, I had shot .44 Magnum before and thought it was rough, but its nothing compared to the DE. I don't think there's any "correct" way to hold it-also bruised my hand with just one mag

It did feel quite invasive but really about the same as getting my TX CHL...although for the Form 4 I did have to visit with the local Police Chief (for signoff on the Form 4), what was really cool about the visit was that the gun dealer helped to set up the appointment! :ccool:

Interesting to know - there actually is a place for "Reason to own" on the Form 4 - the typical one (and what I have) is: "to add to my collection"

Ben - I stayed on South Beach, Miami, at a nice hotel YEARS ago (10+?). Can't recall the name of it but from what I remember there are MANY hotels. Try a travel site like Expedia, Travelocity, etc. and use the "Map View" so you can see exactly where the hotels are.

Something I'd recommend, drive from Miami down to Key West, or at least part of the way. I'm doing a cruise in November out of Miami and have a few days before the cruise to go play and that's what I plan to do. My neighbor grew up in the Keys, it's a neat place. I've only been to Key Largo and Key West (cruise ship stop, there for 8 hours and LOVED it). Just some thoughts.

Need some advice! I have a Garmin nuvi 760 portable gps and buying a us map for it cost about 200$ here. Any advice where to buy a map to the Nuvi for a good price or any other advice concerning this matter?

It costs 127$ to rent gps. Id rather buy the maps so I can use it more than once!
There's a man with a sense of adventure.

I'll admit to having been spoiled by the whole GPS experience. I even use satellite navigation on foot. Still, there's something about a good map based navigational exercise, no?

I believe he means buying the North American Garmin maps... not the old-school kind.
