If the Boveda packs have been obsorbing extra moisture from over-humidified cigars, is it possible for the boveda packs to be over charged from taking on the extra moisture? .
I'm not a chemist, but based on my understanding of how they work, no, I don't think so. I believe they will simply stop absorbing excess moisture when at capacity, at which point they won't release anything extra but they become unable to lower RH effectively.

If anyone knows different, please correct me.

Noneed for calibration kit. Put the hygrometer and Bovedas from the Tupperware into a gallon ziploc together. If it reads anything other than 69%, there's your problem.

I expect either the hygrometer is off or your sticks are over-humidified. If your room RH is below 69%, then a leaky Tupperware would result in lower RH, not higher RH.
Now does this need to be a large ziplock bag like a gallon bag? Because I only have sammich sized ziplocks at the moment.

Because if it truly is around 75%, isn't that a habitat for mold? They've only been in there for several weeks or so. I'm not sure how long it takes for mold to develop.
As has been said (even though I'm not a scientist) Bovedas cannot give out more than the stated amount of humidity and they absord any excess. Hard to believe with all the experience of people on this board that it's different for you.

I understand, I do. I appreciate everyone's continued help thus far. Let me just re state the facts of my current setup.

I have a desktop and a tupperdor. Both using 69 Boveda packs and the same brand Hygrometer. My desktop reads a perfect 69% and the tupperdor a 75%. Both are solid, they do not fluctuate. I have also switched up the hygrometers to test them. I place the original tupperdor hygro in the desktop and it drops to 69%. I place the original desktop hygro in the tupperdor and it jumps to 75%.

Now I understand the science of the Boveda packs. It increases RH if needed and absorbs any excess. My Boveda packs in the tupperdor are being used. They are shrinking slowly but appear to be shrinking faster than normal.

This is where I get confused though. I cannot understand how if there's a leak in the Tupperware, and my RH in the room is 56%, the RH inside is holds at 75%. Naturally I would think that if it's leaking it would try to drop to the RH of the room. But that's not the case here.

Also, remember that even without the cigars inside the Tupperware the hygro reads 75% still. Which would lead me to think its improperly calibrated.

Im going to go home, throw both hygrometers in a bag with the Boveda packs and see what happens.

I'm going to say your hygro needs to be calibrated. Just because your desktop is reading 69% doesn't mean it is actually 69%. Knowing how accurate Bovedas are I'd be willing to bet your hygro is reading high about 6% and that your tupperdor is actually 69% and your desktop is around 63%.

But that would mean, by coinidence, both hygrometers are improperly calibrated at exactly the same rate correct?

Yes. And its not terribly unlikely if they were calibrated at the same time / using the same method. You'll have a better idea once they sit in the bag with the Bovedas for a bit. I really wouldn't stress yet if the sticks seem fine. I have more faith in the Bovedas, even with an imperfectly sealing container, than I do in hygrometers (even if they read the same). You'll get it figured out.

Looks like you were right, my friend. They both read 72*/74% RH. I'll be buying a calibration kit soon just for peace of mind in the future.

Or can I use this as calibration and adjust the hygrometers accordingly?
