So I was thinking this morning of a cool concept. What if you could blend a cigar with ANY tobacco from ANY country in the world? What would you guys think would be off the charts? Note: Country doesn't have to be growing tobacco at the moment, this is a what if situation. Let's specify the wrapper, binder and mixed fillers... No limits on this one. Have fun!

Wrapper: ?

Binder: ?

Filler: ?

Best Regards,
Antonio

Good question.... I hope the day comes, while I'm still smoking cigars, that all current product tobacco is available for blending....and what these guys can produce for me to try.

Love this. Would love to see the Dominican Opus blend with some medio tiempo. Cuban binder and the Anejo wrapper (Connecticut broad leaf).
Can't wait to hear more of these!

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2 because, you know, I love Tapatalk 2.

Best cigar I ever had was a Partagas 898 from 2003 re-wrapped with Nicaraguan Habano. After settling for over a year, I smoked it while star-gazing at the Grand Canyon.

oh man...

I can't even begin to think... Maybe a Ramon Allones blend with a broadleaf wrapper or an all Nicaraguan Criollo blend with dark Ramon Allones wrapper.

Years before Habanos started with Maduros I had a local Miami roller re-wrap a Cohiba Robusto with a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper and must say it is did add something positive to the blend. I would love to see some current Pinar del Rio grown filler blended with tobacco from around Esteli and a San Andres wrapper.

Wrapper: Ecuadorean Arapiraca
Binder: Meerapfel Cameroon
Filler: Esteli Nicaraguan, Vuelta Abajo Cuban

Or maybe:

Wrapper: Nicaraguan Criollo
Binder: Stalk-cut Habano (T52 style)
Filler: Nicaraguan Corojo and a lot of the same blend that they use in Juan Lopez #2's.

I'm a Cameroon lover so it would have to start with that as the wrapper. Love me some Brazil flavors too so use that in the binder. Throw in some Nicaraguan filler for flavor, pepper and power. Mmmmm. Make that in the lancero format. Corona or petit corona.

I'd love to see what the combo of the aromatic qualities of the wrapper and binder would produce.

Wrapper: Cameroon
Binder: Brazillian
Filler: Nicaraguan

I also love the Habano 2000 wrapper. Don't care if it's fireproof. Love the flavor.

Question - would it be accurate to assume that everyone's combination has already been made at some point unless it contained Cuban tobacco? There is a finite list of possibilities and blenders are always trying new things so I would assume that's the case...thoughts?

Not considering construction/burn;

Wrapper: Ecuadorian ‘Desflorado’ Connecticut or Ecuadorian Arapiraca
Binder #1: Cameroon
Binder #2: San Andres maduro
Filler: Pepin's Pelo de Oro and corona ligero from Esteli
