You might want to check out room rates in hotels right now. I'm finding rooms are less than half the normal rates right now in just about every city. They are desperate for bussiness, Disney in Orlando, is doing stay four nights and get three free. It's a buyers market!
Checking out room rates in a couple of places but for the most part have family in Chicago, NY, Houston and Michigan so that takes care of the longer stays however will need a room when the wife and I are driving cross country.. thinking of hitting up Wigwam Motel for a day or two when I get up to Cali but know of any other good motels?

I'd love to go to Disney in Orlando but the place scares the wife but definitely hitting up Sea World/Busch Gardens I love animals!

I have driven from Chicago to LA twice in the last 8 years. Couple of routes to go and it depends on the time of year (see snow). Once you set you plans I can suggest a few places. Crusing California in an RV will probably be more fun than cross country.

Tom Raper RV in Indiana.

Sounds like fun. maybe you should rent the movie RV first though. Pretty insightful about some of the dos and donts.

Make sure you set the parking brake!!!
I know I am no help on the questions at hand but, speaking of must adds to the unfortunate name file.....Raper ouch man!

Good luck on your trip, and definately make Texas a tour stop!
