I was gifted a 97 VR Famoso and I found it to be one of my top 5 smokes I've ever had the pleasure of having. It was very complex and the flavors just were unique and balanced and delicious. VR's with age are a thing of beauty.

I think I am correct in saying that Don Alejandro used to produce wrapper leaves for Cuban brands, and then started the Vegas Robaina line in 1997......Cool story!
Agreed. Would rather have Unicos or Upmann #2s than any other piramide, Cuban or otherwise. Though Diplos are close. Hmm...maybe I just love piramides.
