Ahh, never heard an underhanded "tip" called a sandwich before, but I guess the reference makes sense. This isn't just a Vegas thing though. For instance, when I moved overseas this time, the movers didn't want to pack my pretty extensive beer collection. I guess I gave them a hundred dollar sandwich to get it done.At check in, you place a tip in between your credit card and ID. Ask if there are any complementary upgrades available. The size of the tip depends on the hotel, what room you have and rooms you potentially want. Upgrades are not guaranteed, however normally the tip is returned if no upgrade is available. I use it all the time and have always gotten a better room or view.
To get back on topic. I really enjoyed both the Wynn and Venetian in the past, most comfortable bed I ever slept in was in the mgm grand though.
