I figured you probably saw it Todd since it was one of the first couple of specials PBS did in HD. :thumbsup:Wasch_24 said:I've seen that...they really have to improvise with the old parts...sometimes fabricating their own.
why do you say that? they still accept USD but charge a premium. And they take Canadian dollars as well.cvm4 said:The only problem would be the money situation, besides actually getting there. You'd have to have an abudent supply of Euro on hand and according to Nino, 1.05 CUC for 1 Euro.
I must've read wrong, but about 6 months ago I thought they quit taking USD :dunno: But any currency exchange is definitely in the favor of CUC.jordon said:why do you say that? they still accept USD but charge a premium. And they take Canadian dollars as well.

Ah okay, that's what it was. WTF was I thinking about. But still, 10% is crazy :bigeyes:the nub said:AFAIK they still take US$ unless it's changed in the last 4 months. There was a 10% premium to exchange; either buying or selling. Overall it's better to take Euro or Canadian currency, if you have to change your US$ before you go. Last time I was there it was $100CAN= 75 CUC. Credit card purchases were $1.11 US= 1CUC.
