Great news Ted. Seems to be the trend. Cut the base and offer growth with the company. Kinda a share the wealth program. Similar thing happened to me. It is turning out well. Hope the same happens for you.

Congratulations Ted! I hope it's far more rewarding than my job!

You brothers without jobs help me appreciate that I have one - but I'll tell ya, it's difficult many days dealing with my boss. The other day I was looking at a top ten reasons to quit your job & I think I had 9 out of 10...

Anyway - I'm wishing you good fortune & success!!!

... I'm finally returning to the workforce! :blob: :applause:

I've had several interviews over the past 2 weeks with a small, family-run company, conveniently located about 1 mile from my former employer. After some negotiations on compensation, I accepted their offer. The base salary is much less than my former position, but they are a growing company (around 20% every year for the past decade) and want me to manage some interesting projects. Plus there will be opportunities for bonuses if I can improve productivity, efficiency, accuracy, or lower costs.

It's going to be great to feel useful again ...

Time to break out a nice smoke. :smokingbo
Congrats - and I hope we've all learned a valuable lesson here - Kudos ~:0) :tiphat:
