Actually, his constant need to remain in the spotlight despite his inconsistency does not make him a valuable marketing commodity anymore.

Sad, IMHO...He should have packed up a while ago.
Clint, my brother, that says it all in a nutshell, thanks for posting your comments!

There once was a coy boy named Brett
Who liked to say no, then say yes.
He dithered and primped
Said his ankle was gimped
So would you just ****ing make up your mind already we are sick of this, OK?

brett hang it up. The media created his monster. nobody should report just wait till he actually shows up or doesn't. It is going to be the same sad story, brett is great for six weeks then his old body gives out and destroys his teams hopes. how much longer will vikings fans put up with this
Did you watch the same Favre as the rest of the world last season? He had 33 TD's only 7 INT's and a great QB rating. You can blame him for the loss to the Saints, but he is not the one who fumbled every time he touched it (Peterson), and they still had a chance to win. We all know they out played the Saints, and if not for Adrean "butter fingers" Petterson, they would have won by 2+ TD's.

I am not a Favre fan, but to say he only played well in the first six games and/or give him sole blame for the NFC championship loss is inaccurate.

yes i saw the same farve last year. yes the stats make it sound great but he did start to slump mid season but thanks to his recieving core no one really noticed. and of course when the game was on the line the gunslinger came out and BAM int. Farve is a perfect back-up QB but his ego wont let him do it.

Whether Favre wants to play or not its his decision. Just because ESPN makes a big deal about it it doesn't matter. It's his personal choice, most teams in the NFL would still love to have him play for them. The guy still has game and if he wants to play who are we to tell him no?

I predict he will get a career ending injury this season. To be clear, I don't want him to get injured, but I don't think his old body can take too many more hits before it's over. Also, I think an injury or a Super Bowl win are the only two ways he'll ever quit.

I'd like this man to represent me, your honor.
