No. Feisty, quick, long claws and can jump a few feet in the air but harmless. They dug up our yard and made a big tunnel under our deck so I caught one and relocated it. You can walk up on them and grab them if you do it right. It’s easier with a big fishing net. You still have to get it by the tail or it runs right out of the net.

They are basically blind so if you walk towards them downwind and don’t make to much noise you can walk right up on them.
