A friend gifted me this Montecristo Dantes EL a few days ago, giving me the disclaimer that he doesn't care for them but wanted me to try it.
I'm wondering if he keeps his cigars at a higher humidity than I do, as it smoked as if it were very wet (phrasing). That or just poorly constructed. It had that dark wrapper that a lot of the ELs have...not quite fireproof like some have been, but just didn't burn great. Wish I had dry boxed it to give it a fighting chance. The flavors weren't actually too bad, but the burn just made it a mediocre experience.

went off the reservation this morning and lit up La Antieguidad from a bomb.
love the vitola, and it is a very tasty stick.
