So, I took advatage of the BNB Groupon and ordered a box of one of my absolute favorites, Padron Delicias maduro. 26ct box for $65. Score!

As I was doing my OCD inspection of each stick, I came across this little slip of paper.

Just after, I noticed the cellos seemed to have a slight tinge to them. So, I slid a stick partially out, and this is what I found:

They all look exactly like this. I bought this box with plans to age. Am I correct in my thinking that BNB already did it for me? What do y'all think?

Yellow cello'd padron maddies are my weakness. Congrats on these 2 year old sticks, they should be smoking very well now and still have some legs to age...I find the delicias to have a slightly stronger blend than say, a londres.

Looks like they have some age as the wrappers are already yellowed a bit. You got a good deal on those also. My experience with aging the 0000 series of Padrons is that only do so for 5-6 years. After that, the flavor seems to fade a bit. I've also heard the same experience from several other cigar enthusiasts. Now the Annis age really well.

I bought a liquidation bin padron locally that had similar cello. Bases on the fact they decided to rid themselves of the remainder, it made sense to think it could be somewhat aged; brothers here agreed. You could find my thread.

I later bought their last stick, as it was awesome. Can't compare to non-aged padron (yet) but I say you have pre-aged cigars. Lucky you. You're in for a treat.

BTW great deal.

I think you scored! I recently found some LFD's with some age on em at a B&M and I felt like I hit the jackpot. I'm sure those will be delicious.

Oooo nice! Looking at your pictures pushed me over the edge on snatching a box of them. :)

PS. I didn't know NC had dates like that. I wonder if its only padron...

Its not cheating. Its like when you come to the end of the super long line and then your buddy propose to get in line with him way ahead.
It is like when you go shopping and suddenly it is a fifty percent off day.
It is like being offered superior product for the price of the normal product.

You just got lucky and score a great deal.

Now try one.
...
And try to not smoke the whole box after that !!! ;)

Awesome! I'm interested to see if yours are pre aged as well. I'm not sure about the date thing. This was actually my first box purchase. I know, i know...... beginners luck.

Fired the first one up today. Honestly it wasn't that great. Tasted kinda sick to me. I'm not too upset though. Figuring they need a little more down time from transportation. I'll give 'em a couple more weeks and try again.

A lot of NCs are dated just not very obviously in some cases. I know DPG and Tats had dates stamped on the bottom of boxes. At least used to, I haven't bought a full box in maybe 4 years. LFD uses a code REPUBLICAS as a 0-9 (could be 1-9 and 0 as s I don't exactly remember). So on LFD it is, I think month/year and using 0-9 it'd look like RS/EB for a box made this month. Of course I could have a couple things wrong. I could have the month year flipped and the number sequence in relation to REPUBLICAS off but that's the gist. I am sure there are others who dare but I am most familiar with these brands for dates.
