I've read several times (once in this thread) commentary from seasoned smokers that say after 5-6 yrs, the x000 series starts losing something. YMMV of course.

Fired the first one up today. Honestly it wasn't that great. Tasted kinda sick to me. I'm not too upset though. Figuring they need a little more down time from transportation. I'll give 'em a couple more weeks and try again.

I hope they were just a little wet and they turn around for you. You got a steal if they do.
