I am a Financial Advisor (stockbroker) and have been since 2004. I've been married for 16 years and have 2 boys. (14 and 11). I am a huge Ga. Bulldogs fan and a Falcons fan as I live in Athens Ga. almost all my life. I get to travel a bit with work and have to say that there are alot of other countries that have much more lax smoking laws than here in the states. LOVE!!!! my country, hate the attack on smokers....I think the world would be a better place if we could all have a smoke now and then.....

Don't know how I missed this..

My names Kyle, I'm engaged to my lovely other half Amanda. She manages a Chiropractic office here in Seal Beach, and I work in the film industry as a Set Lighting Technician.

I've worked on some pretty low end things, like spanish Wendy's commercials, and I've worked on some pretty big things (for me), like 99% of Britney Spears' music videos (not that I LIKE Spears).

Working in film is fun, the schedule is best. Sometimes I work every day of the month, sometimes I don't work a single day of the month.

I have two American Bulldogs, Hemi and Penny. I recently bought my first house, here in Seal Beach.

I'm into... well, cigars, boating, and cars, and photography.

My crazy dogs.

Amanda and I. Shutup, I love my bug eyes.

Oh, and I'm 22 years old. Amanda's 21 in a few days.

I believe I've yet to post here as well, Kyle. Anyways; I'm Alfonso, yer Mexican contact. I'm 19 years old and study culinary arts here in Mexico City. I date username Shmear, known to me as Meg (I'll leave pet names out for now...) since 7 months ago. I am the older of 3 brothers (1 sister, 2 brothers) as well. I practice Parkour, adore to read books, as well as articles and everything I can get me hands on (yer usual know-all-yet-nothing-usefull bloke); enjoy a good film or movie, good food, good drink (both latters are not "fine" but "good"; as long as beetles taste good, I'll help meself). I like magic. Illusionism. Not only to view it, but to do it as well. I like to be able to make people believe, even if just for a few seconds, that there's more to the world than what we can see; that not everything's as solid as it appears. I love sailing. The freedom it gives ye, the wind in one's back, the horizon stretching ahead...few things might beat that feeling. I believe that's me in a nut.

I'll add to this...

My name is Taylor, I'm 23 years old and I'm the managing member of a real estate investment LLC. I've been doing real estate for almost two years now and I really enjoy it, lately it's a lot of playing landlord, but it's alright. I've got a great girlfriend, Ronda who's 26 and hopefully we'll be engaged in the near future.

I'm into cars - especially Cadillacs, car audio/electronics, music, cigars obviously and I have an obsession with [butane] lighters. I really like the conversations that cigars lead to. It's pretty amazing the people and topics that cigars can engage, like stated before, I've met people from all walks of life while sitting in a B&M or even on a bench somewhere. I usually prefer Nicaraguan cigars; my usual go-to brands are, Don Pepin Garcia, Tatuaje (etc.), Illusione, Padron, La Flor Dominicana, La Gloria Cubana. I usually go for coronas and corona gordas, torpedoes/belicosos and perfectos and salomones and the occasional robusto or toro.

Here's a great Hello from Canada. I'm a retired highschool English teacher who has turned to freelance writing and editing to keep my brain active. Married for thirty-five years, with two grown daughters, no pets, I spend as many days as the Canadian climate will allow on a golf course; but when winter sets in, I hibernate with literature and port. Cigars, as much as I love them, must remain a summer indulgence since smoking in the great outdoors is quickly becoming the only choice.

Within moments of posting my first query about storing glass-tube Gurkhas, I was pleased to be welcomed and given helpful information by members of this community. Thank you. I plan to be a member till my ash falls off (say, that didn't sound quite the way it was intended).

I am a cabinetmaker here in Richmond, Virginia. I have a small shop with a handful of employees (who love to complain about my cigar smoking). Though I enjoy woodworking my free time is spent volunteering. I deliver meals on wheels, coach sports for the local school system wherever there is a need, and help out at a local psychiatric hospital (where they complain about everything except cigar smoking). When I am not involved in one of these things, I smoke cigars while working on one of my boat projects. This primarily involves an hour of smoking and contemplation then 15 minutes of turning wrenches. I have a lovely life.

So, thought i'd throw in my brief history. I'm soon to be 53, New Years Eve so everyone please have a party for me! I'm a Physical Therapist with a small practice in a small town south of K.C. My primary hobby is my Harley. Like to travel on it, but have not been able to do any extended trips for a while. I've been to Sturgis a couple of times and did manage to make it to Milwaukee this summer for the H-D anniversary. You see the world a lot differently from the saddle.
I've been smoking cigars for about 30 years. My wife is from Holland and her family was in the business for three generations. They introduced me to the box dried small cigars that are popular over there. It just sort of took off from there. The nice thing about having a wife who grew up in the tobacco business is that I've always been allowed to smoke inside!! I currently am the most fond of Pete's blends. I used to get some of the cc's from my inlaws, but a letter from uncle sam scared me away from buying more. I've recently started trading for some and find i still enjoy them. I enjoy reading the posts here and hope to be able to get a little more involved in some of the goings on!

I'm 35... work in the IT dept. of a major law firm in San Diego, mostly keeping the laptops up to date, secure and running. It's a complete bore and I have very little love for it, but it pays pretty well and is a relatively secure position. In my spare time I smoke cigars, write esoteric/humorous/abstract music, play a number of instruments, write short stories, study history and politics and read voraciously. Oh yeah, I like to drink, too. We have some amazing breweries in San Diego (Alesmith, Stone, etc.) so I'm definitely in the right place to facilitate that particular vice.

If I had my druthers I would get paid to sit in my apartment smoking, drinking and producing creative distractions for the rest of the world. :computer:

I'm 29 and work for a big pharmacuetical company in California where I work as an industrial hygiene and safety specialist. I have been smoking cigars for around 8 years now but have only recently become more serious about them. I have been married for a little over a year now to my high school sweatheart. We are expecting our first child in January 09. My other hobbies including fishing, video games, playing basketball, softball, football, and golf. My experience on this site has been nothing but stellar.

Cigars has become my hobby and passion. I've been smoking cigars for about 12 years now.

Every day when I wake up, I smile :smokingbo Part of my time, I work on our cigar club blog.

The skinny on uncelnino.

I am 28 years old and live in Durham, NC. I attended the Univeristy of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and never left the area. I am a political science major so of course i ended up in sales. Did the sales gig for a few years and then got my dream job as director of outside sales and special promotions at a cigar shop in Raleigh, NC by the name of Empire Cigars. I get the pleasure of going around and talking about cigars all day and often times going to events like Scotch tastings as a cigar representative in the evenings. I can't think of anything I would rather do.

Aside from work I have one younger brother that lives with me. I have a crazy yet lovable golden retriever named Dexter. My brother also has two dogs; Zoe is a three year old Siberian Huskie, and Scooter is a four year old mutt. We live in a zoo.
Recently broke up with the girlfriend and for now I am enjoying the freedom. I love to fish, hunt, play golf, watch movies, listen to music, and waste time on my computer.

My goal as a person and in business is to make every single individual feel important, trust that i will help them in any way that i can, appreciate and learn from their uniqueness and experiences, and most importantly make them smile and feel better than they did before I spoke to them.

Cheers,
Dave

Who is this "Daviso" we speak of?

Im 28 years old, married (4 years), no children, 1 dog an English Bulldog named Xena. Been smoking since 2001ish. Graduated from DeVRY with a BS in Network Communications, minor in Bus. Mgmt. Tried the IT field for a little, but the market in Florida was overflowed and to get an IT Job I would have needed to leave the state. Went back to sales for a few years, selling Security Systems and Video/Audio pre-wired equipment for new homes. I paid for just about everything while my wife was in school, so when she graduated with her EdS in School Psyc, she asked me what would make me happy....career wise. I told her I wanted to get into the culinary industry. Went to the local "Le Cordon Bleu" and graduated while working at PF Changs. Then I moved on to work at the ChampionsGate Omni. Started at the bottom, Now Im a Kitchen Supervisor...I have cooks calling me Chef all day! Eventhough I am not at the top of the foodchain, My skills and talent are well known at the hotel.

I hope to write a recipe/way of life book and dream of opening a Tapas/Fine wine/Microbrewery lounge with a covered outdoor area for the cigar lover.

Lately these boards have been my escape...I had a lot of vices, but now I only have a few; my family, my career, my cigars and the BOTL!

Greetings and salutations:

I'm 53 years old and work in the 2nd most regulated industry in America. Monday thru Friday I live in an 18 wheeler and drink coffee and smoke cigars and cigarettes all day. And drive some too. I listen to a lot of talk radio and occasionally argue with "rocket scientists" on the CB radio. I smoked my first cigar in the 7th or 8th grade and if I could have gotten a hold of some decent hand made imported cigars I probably never would have started smoking cigarettes. I smoked my first imported stick about 15 months ago (compliments of my lovely wife) and now have made a hobby of smoking as many different blends as possible. The best thing about driving a truck is having the freedom to smoke without worrying about offending somebody.

We live on 5 acres in SW Virginia so when I'm home I spend a lot of time doing never ending yard work and wasting time on the internet. I've been married for 29 years (to the same woman) and have 2 lovely daughters and 2 (mostly) delightful 4 and 5 year old grandchildren.

Let's burn one,

Steve
