How did I miss this thread:

I'm 32 years old, born and raised in New Orleans. I'm a Used Car manager for a big auto leasing company in DFW, been here about 12 years. I've been with my wife for 16 years and married for 11 of them. We've got a wonderful 3 1/2 year old boy. My passions in life are music, sports, motorcycles, cigars, family and good friends.

Spend my spare time heading up three piece blues band that plays around town, hanging out with the family, cruising around on my CBR600RR, and smoking cigars with great friends. Never smoked anything in my life until cigars....

I've met some great people here in such a short time. Honored to be part of the brotherhood!

I am 29 and marrried. 2 beautiful daughters, 5 and 10.

During the day (and usually into the evenings) I am a Training Manager for a BPO company. We have call centers all over the US, Asia, Central America, and South Africa.

I travel a ton to get out and check up on my staff and use the opportunities to score some local goodies at usually lower than US retail prices.

Right now my hobbies include cooking, enjoying cigars and wines, and I have a feeling that the next thing to take up some of my time will be the Wineador you guys have convinced me to set up. After all, the heat and dryness in Phoenix are driving me and my humidor nuts!

I'm 25, living with my girlfriend, and working as the bottom guy on the totem pole at a company that writes, produces, and licenses music primarily for television commercials.

I've enjoyed cigars since high school but I've only started enjoying good cigars since JDP moved to LA this past year.

As far as hobbies: Besides cigars, playing writing and listening to music & golf.

I'm a cigar retailer but I have always wanted to respond to a question like this by saying, "Oh, I'm a independent communications consultant!" But really I'm busy guy who really enjoys taking the time to enjoy a fine cigar, and occasionally talk about enjoying fine cigars!

wow, didn't know this thread existed! i'm going to have fun raeding through and finding out a little more about my brothers!

as for myself, i'm new enough for most to remember my newbie thread, I'm a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, been in for almost 6 years, as a combat medic. I just moved to Ft Lewis Washington where i am now working in the Largest Army Hospital on the west coast.

In addition to smoking cigars, i'm shopping for a house and getting used to being 3 hours from my family!

i'm in love with this site since i've lost all my army brothers who loved cigars, and i haven't found too many local to me that can geek out about a limited release cigar like i can! thanks for listening!

I'm a somewhat immature wiseman at the age of 34. Just left a high- stress management job for another high stress job... at least I don't babysit grown men anymore. Moved out of the country into the big city. By day I peddle the finest damn industrial compressors in the whole damn universe. By night, I tend to a loving wife and two utterly amazing kids. Just getting into the wonderful world of cigars. Besides that, I play guitar, hike, fish, and will occasionally climb a tree.

Great place going here! Look forward to future discussions.

It's always wonderful to see someone else that saw the light and left!

I am a retired Naval Officer. In my previous life, I commanded a Navy Destroyer, USS JOHN HANCOCK (DD 981) and rose to the rank of Captain. Now, I am in charge of Physical Plant Operations (Building Maintenance, Energy Management and Utilities, Support Services, Grounds) for the 6th largest school district in America. I am responsible for 270 schools, 39 million square feet of air conditioned space and 5,000 acres of grounds and athletic fields. (My utility budget is $70 Million a year.) For fun, I ride my Harleys and play golf. I am married to the love of my life, who tolerates my cigar habit... and we have 6 kids...only one left at home.. and a grand daughter.

I'm also a Christian, not perfect, (far from it), just forgiven.
I'm single again, (D'd 3 times), one 24 yr old son. I love music & arts, and plan to use my gifts (guitar), full time when I'm retired from State employment (4 yrs, 2 months, but who is counting). I also like Corvettes, and my 99 C5 coupe six speed is almost paid for. Live alone except for Tiger my 12 year old indoor cat, ( who is not sure about this cigar smoke thing).
Like I said, I want to switch from Lucky Strikes to cigars, ( and find out what all this up roar with fine cigars is all about), & my pipe. So if anyone has some good advice to give to a soon ex Luckies smoker, let me know.
oh, and if anyone has some mild cigar suggestions that are not too expensive,
( Like $2 to $4 a stick), let me know.
Thanks in advance, and I hope I can learn enough to be able to give other BOTL, some advice.

I am a divorced 47 year old, no kids, from the 'burbs of Chicago. Been in law enforcement for 23 years, and hope to find warmer climates when the ride is over.

In my non-work time I enjoy riding my motorcycle, playing men's league hockey, working out and herfing as often as possible. Herfing in the last year has taken me to Florida (3 times), Louisville, Ohio, Milwaukee, Kansas City, San Diego, Los Angeles and many places around Illinois.

Started smoking cigars regularly over 20 years ago but my first decade was pretty much drug store cigars like Black and Milds. Graduated to quality cigars, running the gamut of NCs and eventually becoming more of a CC smoker as the years passed. Average better than a cigar a day, and only wish I had time for more.

I'm a 30 year old guy and am a maintenance technician at a local factory that produces wiring harnesses for CAT engines. I enjoy riding motorcycles, working out, shooting guns, and pretty much anything outdoors. I typically have one cigar every evening and maybe more on the weekends.

I am 36 y/o married with 4 children.

I am an Implementation Executive with a major medical device company. I get to travel and work from home a lot. This give me plenty of opportunity to enjoy cigars (office in garage <G>)

I enjoy my Harley and shooting at the range. Hunting is still a passion but I do not get to do it often. Deep sea fishing is becoming a yearly thing for me.

Other than that, my 2 y/o is the light of my life (as are my other kids) but I single her out since I have been able to be at home with her and watch her grow her entire life. With my other kids I was working in a hospital 12 hour shifts 5 - 6 days a week and I missed most of it.

No one around me share my passion for cigars so this forum is my outlet. I hope to attend some HERFs when they are near my in Ohio.

Just turned 50 and started getting AARP letters :scratchhe

Spent most of my life in Central IL, moved to suburb of Chicago for 3 years before moving down here to TX 11 yers ago. Still a loser Cub fan. A Bear fan, and have always liked the TX Longhorns.

Despite the name bowhnter, I don't hunt any more. I refuse to travel 3-4 hrs and pay the fees to hunt after being in IL and could be up in a tree in 20 minutes from the house. I miss it though.

Been married for 28 years, have two great kids, a daughter who just had our first grandkid, and a son who just got on at the Dallas Fire Dept.

I smoked a few cigars back in the day, but just now getting into it.

Look forward to maybe getting to meet a few of you folks

I am a 35 year old railroader. I am a licensed engineer but due to seniority working as a conductor.

More importantly, I am a father of 3. A daughter, 4, a son, 3 and another son who will turn 1 this month. My wife of 5 years and I stay busy chasing kids around and just bought our first house this year. Fortunately for me, my wife does not mind cigars, just not in the house. Our nightly routine is to make espresso or cappuccinos after the kids go to bed and sit on the deck while I have a smoke.

My hobbies aside from the enjoyment of fine cigars mainly revolve around flyfishing. I got into it when I was 19, bought a beginner kit, a book and a flytying kit. I have been hooked ever since. My next goal is to get my Certified Casting Instructor license. With the kids and the new house my hobbies have taken a back seat but I still make it out occasionally.
