I'll bite...

27 years old born and raised in San Diego. I'm a Pharmacy Assistant for Kaiser Permanente, been there almost 6 years. Decided to extend my career to Pharmacist, so I am in school now, and will be for another 6 years or so. I'm single at the moment, keeping options open as they say. In a small but great cigar group here in SD, have met some great brothers there. Other than that, I love great music, movies, food, concerts, sports. I like anything entertaining that SD or the rest of the world can throw at me.

Oh yeah, I smoke cigars on occasion. haha.

There it be!

I'm 30; and a supervisor/officer for a medium-sized local bank that has banking operations in California, Washington, New York and Texas. I help cover 3 branches as of the moment, and hopefully aspire to branch manager in the coming years. So yes, I take your money...then charge you to keep your money with us, muhaha! J/K:gangfire: My dream job would be to an F1 driver...a successful F1 driver, that is (no back of the grid, lower end team driver =D)

Here is my blurb:

I am 30, married, am a father of two boys (read: I am always looking for time to devote to a cigar!), and I am an environmental engineer.

For fun: I am a cyclist, a homebrewer, I am the family cook (used to do it for a living too), BBQ (a whole different beast :D), I garden, love music, roast my own coffee, and spend the remainder of the time with the family!

What about the next guy/gal/transgendered?

I'm down -

I am a complete newb to BOTL and stoked to plug in to the community and start bombing some fellow enthusiasts.

I', 27, blessed with an incredible wife, have a 1 year old boy (it's getting a lot more fun now - he's not athletic yet, but there's still time for that). I'm a health insurance broker in San Diego and really enjoy my job as an employee benefits consultant to businesses. I'm also a college pastor at my church (thankfully, not burdened with legalism). I'm also a side-entrepreneur of sorts (reselling occasionally). My wife has recently converted to a full-time mom (read: we're living tight these days).

She tolerates my revolving door of activities and obsessions - like spending the last month learning as much as I can about cigars. I am an avid soccer player, my wife and I rock climb and do some hiking/backpacking. I am a big audio-nerd and my favorite things I own are my speakers (http://www.vienna-acoustics.com/products/mozart/mozart.php).

That's enough for now and I look forward to getting more plugged into BOTL.

Next?

I am a 47 year old unemployed, struggling artist and father of four. I lost my job in banking about 2 1/2 years ago and since then I have been making ends meet by selling my artwork and handmade pirate hats. It has been a blessing in disguise because I got to spend time with my children and rediscovered my creative side. I am looking for work but want to stay away from financial services because I just don't have faith in the products anymore. It has been a rather humbling experience since I have never been unemployed before. With 28 years of experience over a broad range of industries I thought it would be easy to find something but so far, nothing. I'll keep looking though because the perfect job is out there...somewhere.

Well, I've already talked about what I do for a living, but this is what I spend a considerable amount of time when I'm not working: Adventure Racing/Obstacle Racing/Mud Running/Whatever-you-want-to-call it.

Basically a bunch of us get together and party our asses off, then run, then party our asses off some more. This is some of us last weekend after running the Maryland Tough Mudder. http://toughmudder.com/

I'm the tall guy in the middle (third from the left) the short brunette curled up against me is my wife. After 10.5 miles of running, about half of which was done in a torrential storm, we're all soaking and wet and freezing cold. You can see the space blankets we unwrapped from just to get this picture before wrapping back up and trying to figure out how to get my car out of that muddy field we're parked in. But those are my buddies, and this is the "what else do you do?" part.

I'm 23 years old. I work as a Desktop support tech for a company that provides live video transmission, analysis and archive solutions for the market research industry. I still live at home (Mom hates that I smoke cigars) I like to hang with friends, collect records, drink 40s, punk rock, party.

I never posted in here when I first joined, so why not start now?

I am Evan, 27 years old and recently married with no children.

I work as a Firefighter/Paramedic in the Central Florida area... That is all I will say about that seeing as how public safety and government employees are under such a ridiculous amount of scrutiny these days!

Interesting piece of information about the fire service and tobacco:
In many departments now, the newer guys are required to sign a contract stating they will not use ANY kind of tobacco.
As if swearing on your job wasn't bad enough, many employers have the option to perform a random drug test at any time where they are allowed to test for nicotine.
Although I'm still relatively young with my department, thankfully I am grandfathered in and do not fall under the random nicotine test BS.

Isn't that some garbage, a Fireman can't even smoke a cigar anymore.. What is the world coming to?

I enjoy weight lifting, fishing, boating, surfing, kayaking, MW3 via XBOX (as well as real life guns, haha!) ...anddd snowboarding (although it's not great in FL :))

PS: Because of this forum, I can't figure out which I like more: cigar collecting or actually smoking cigars, lol!
Does anyone else have a difficult time selecting a cigar to smoke because it just doesn't feel like it's time for that one yet? I'm not a hoarder, I swear!!

32 years old from Minnesota. Married 2 years with a 3 month old. Moved to Las Vegas after turning 21 and ended up in Chicago 10 years ago and have lived here ever since. I have worked in the gaming industry for 14 years now and am currently a pit boss. I did enjoy many years as a Dealer, but your body can only take so much abuse from all of the movement. I enjoy collecting poker chips, coins/numimatics, beer, whiskey, and riding my Harley Davidson Fatboy.

I'm 21 years old, and I work for my father. We own and operate mobile packaged hvac units, catering mostly to the motion picture and special events industry. Basically if they are filming a television show(we haven't managed to edge into actual movie productions yet) out on location say at a house or in the desert or perhaps a warehouse or any structure/tent/area, they pay us to come out with a air conditioner ranging from a 1 ton unit, to 50 ton chiller(and air handlers of course!), and provide supplemental or complete hvac systems for the location or event. Do I get to talk to famous actors and such? Nope. I see them sometimes though on there way to set, but they typically keep me and my equipment a goodly distance from set due to noise issues. You may be thinking "don't these places usually have there own hvac?" Well they usually do, but its generally not enough. A standard homes AC was not designed to keep a home cool with all of the windows and doors open, nor with a 30+ member film crew. Its a wierd niche job that would probably not work outside of hollywierd, but I like it!
As far as hobbies go, I am a gamer and somewhat of a failed musician/artist. I play bass, and guitar in the heavy metal and rock style, and read sci-fi novels voraciously.

I like the biggies OpusX, Illusione, Alec Bradley,
I run a team truck out of Springfield MO and actually hate the hell out of it. But the economy in my part of the world just has not offered many opportunities. Still looking for a better position. Used to be in management of a large production scheduling department.

But I do like cigars and people who like them and talk about them so here I am.

I'm a carpenter, we do mostly high end trim, cabinets, built ins, ect, but also do full remodels, tile, and all around general construction. We're a small family owned company, I've been doing it for basically my whole life, but professionally since I got out of the Marine Corps in 2004. I love it, it's a passion, more then a job.
