Was either a padron 3000, RP 1992, or Gurkha regent.
Oh, how tastes have changed. IMO all still good cigars, but don't come close to my current favs/go-to cigars.

Muriel Coronella, this was my very first cigar, my father always smoked them and when I was like 7 or 8 he gave me one. The same as his grandfather did to him. He thought I would not like it, get sick and never smoke, after smoking half the cigar he took it away from me. That was my very first.

White Owl's, Black and Milds I tried them all when I first turned 18, the legal age. It was a visit to the tobacconist shortly after that I smoked my first premium, Licenciados #4, then the Churchill. A 20 count desktop humidor later and I was into it through college, then got out of it as a hobby, this past year I have gotten back into it 100 percent, just as I was then. I always kept an interest, however finding this site was what put me back into good fellowship.

Wow. Len. Killer stick for a newbie.

Too be honest...I had no knowledge whatsoever about cigars...I had been wanting to buy some hats from thompsons and almost got my first cigar(s) from them...a guy I work with said to look at ci...I figured heck I might as well get cigars that are highly rated to try on my first time out...and if I remember correctly I picked the JDN because of its smell...plus it was short and if I didnt like it I wouldnt feel bad if I tossed it cuz it sucked or killed me lol...len

don't know what the name of the cigar was, but I was playing pool in a bar, George was on the radio singing "Bad to the Bone." I got hooked on the good times that come with cigars, long before I found or got hooked on good cigars.

Mine was a Cohiba Robusto while on vacation in Vancouver BC. I drove out to Seattle to visit this girl I met while on vacation in Hawaii. I went to hang out with her for 2 weeks, we went to Vancouver with a couple friends for the weekend and I had to buy this cigar I heard so much about as I've never really smoked a real cigar. I smoked it while in good company and it kicked my ass... loved cigars ever since even though it took me 10 years to become a regular with cigars.

Plus I found my wife so everything worked out great...

a La Aroma De Cuba corona. It was relatively cheap, rated decent and tasted fantastic. Smoking it on the beach probably didn't help either.

On my 17th birthday, one of the presents from my brother was a three finger cigar case. Inside the case was a Monte #2, Cohiba Siglo IV, and a PAM 64 Diplomatico. I smoked the Monte and Cohiba first and enjoyed them. Nevertheless, it was the PAM 64 that got me hooked. I've loved cigars ever since that day.

I had smoked an occasional machine-made down through the years, but my first hand made smoke, I think was a La Cuna Bin#85, given to me by a friend at work. I really enjoyed it and bought some more. It's grown from there, although I still have a La Cuna every now and then. Funny thing is I remember when I first started, I said that I was never gonna pay more than $2-$3 for a cigar!

I had my first cigar at 14 I think and it was a Backwoods smoke. Not a great cigar by today standards but at 14 I loved the flavor of that cigar and it's actually what got me started. I smoked cigars maybe two or three times a year at special occasions and that was it..nothing fancy as I recall. Then when I hit my forties I picked up a RP Edge Lite and boom I was hooked. Now I smoke a cigar on a daily basis!
