I just saw "Gifted Hands", the story of Dr. Ben Carson. Excellent film about a great man.

I saw Chef with John Favreau the other day on netflix. It was a lot better than I expected. I would recommend it if you have netflix.

I watched that last week, too. Favreau is an actor whose roles I sometimes can't warm up to but he did really well in it. Surprising large number of celebrity guest appearances in some pretty minor roles.

But I am also on a huge food-based movie kick.

Watched Fifty Shades of Gray with the wife last. It was even worse than I expected. The cinematography was flat and lifelss. The lead actor doesn't sell the character and the actress doesn't really make you feel her indecision or angst. I wish I could get those two hours of my life back.

Watched "The Good Lie" last night...

Those here that know me, know I've spent a good bit of time in South Sudan, and personally know several "lost boys"... going in I thought there would be little chance for the movie to "get it right".. but watched it anyway (expecting to be annoyed the entire time)...

I was very surprised (pleasantly)..
