I really liked it, about the same as the first of not more. My kiddos (teenagers) really liked it too. I won't explain why I enjoyed it so much because that might influence the way you watch it.

I watched both the original Godzilla and original King Kong on Friday night on TCM. Both are classics and great movies in their time.

Haven’t seen Godzilla vs Kong yet but my expectation is that that it will be crap (like you said)
