If you lose/break your phone or switch to another WebOS phone you just log into the new one and all your settings and contacts are put back automatically over the network AND it automatically downloads the applications you installed again.
Plus it pulls things from different sources, like facebook names and numbers get grouped with google contacts, yahoo, linked in.
