That happened about 25 miles from me. According to in store camera tapes, there is no way to pinpoint what the actual fatal blow was because several hundred people just trampled the poor guy, and then went on shopping!! Animals! And to top it off, on the news later that night, some person said,"Well they just should have had more security!" Yeah, how about acting like a civilized human being!!! The reason why it happened is because WalMart was 5 minutes late opening the doors, so they just pushed their way in!

Just Another Ashhole
One of the biggest reasons I don't shop after holidays because of the crazed atmosphere that it produces. The news and stores get everyone 'hyped' about these sells and know that there will be crowds like this because they offer only a few "big deals" as bait for shoppers. Does this absolve those who get there early and get the 'mob' mentality going? Hardly, it just pours gas on an already glowing fire.
No one will be charged for this. The people in front, whether they wanted to or not, would not have been able to stop. Not with the crowd as a whole pushing from behind.
Those in the rear are just as responsible as those that actually trampled that guy.
