I just keep an eye on my beads. Used to use a digital hygrometer, but when the battery died (about 2 years ago) I never replaced it.

I trust the beads! Seems to be working for me....

Hey guys, I'm new here. Just got a cheapo humi- and it came with an analogue hygro that does not seem accurate.

I was thinking about just going with beads, since many people seem to run them with great success.

Any suggestions on any beads aside from the Boveda?

Just a heads up, you can pickup an adjustable hygroset at BevMo for 19.99 in Oceanside CA

I have both self-adjustable and remote with base unit hygros. 3 remote units, two of which read dead-on and one that is +3-4% and probably a dozen of the rectangular self-adjustable hygros.

If only someone would come up with remote self-adjustable hygros with a base-station, I would be in hog heaven.

I use a digital but, in the end, I've learned to just trust my beads.

Can you add 'hyDrometer' to this poll? I can't stand when people call them hyDrometers!!:argh:

Two digital hygro's from walmart that read dead on to a Boveda calibration pack in a winodor using a cigar oasis humidifier.

I use Meade version of the Honeywell TM005X with 3 remotes. I got 1 each in my 3 drawers and base unit which also reads temp and humidity. All 4 dead on accurate and can't beat it for the price, actually 1 remote might be .5% off on the humidity. $65 total from Amazon.

The noob that I am is running the stock analog with a small round and medium tube of heartfelt beads. I trust the beads but will upgrade to a digital soon time. Canadian retail prices got me preferring to spend the cash on sticks though.

I got 3 Hygro's and one incoming. 1 Digital and 2 analog. The one i bought was the wireless hygrometer from LaCrosse
Thats a great set-up. I have 3 sensors in my cabinet and can put the base unit anywhere in the house. I have an extra sensor (TX21U) I can give you depending on what set you got.
