Uninvite the losers.

I used to play Altadis roullette for just this purpose. Having cheap NC Monte's and RyJ's was perfect. Cigars that few could find objectionable; even elitists could enjoy, but novices would appreciate the name.

Think I'm out of both, however, and I haven't seen an offer for months.

All the recommendations made so far are good ones because they are in-expensive but still damn nice smokes!

I would also add the "Oliva Bundles" to the list, Nattie, Connie and maduro wrappers on 100% Nic cigars.

Nick's Sticks by Perdomo are good in-expensive but tasty sticks too.

Pinar del Rio Reserva Limitada are like $3.25 a stick and are not only perfect as hand outs they're a good everyday cigar.
Yes! I love these things.

I also second the JdN Celebracions, and Perdomo Lot 23's... even Hoyo de Monterey Dark Sumatra can be bought on the cheep. I have a hard time keeping these three sticks around for buddies, as I tend to dip into these stashes from time to time.

I snagged a bundle of Gran Habano Vintage 2002's for just under $2 a piece. The presentation is great for the novice smoker so they take it seriously and they tasted pretty good for a $2 cigar. I lived with 60 frat guys and they all knew I smoked cigars so I went the cheapest route because I got them bummed from me a few times a week.

These are what I buy now. Initially purchased them because they would be a great conversation starter but once I started smoking them its a $6 cigar at a $3 price tag. This is the best bang for the buck cigar IMO for cheap cigars. It is very similar to the more expensive Perdomo cigars in their line up.

I dont mind so much handing out good smokes to friends...as long as they actually smoke them. What bothers me is watching someone grab a good cigar, smoke an inch or two and then crush it out...:angerhead

This is exactly my feelings on this. I open my humidor to anyone as long as they enjoy what they pick. A lot of guys who aren't real cigar smokers always ask me what I recommend and I try my best to accommodate them. Usually its a Fuente 8-5-8 or Padron in the thousand series. G1

NickThePyro - I'm in grad school, and am a chapter adviser for my fraternity. A few of the guys will pull the dip out of their mouth, and then ask for cigars because they're "not feeling it" and are trying to catch more of a buzz. Then they crush two sticks, get a headache, and go to bed. It's kind of funny actually.

We have a few guys who smoke cigs with dips in and somehow don't get nic sick. Fraternity men are unique people, ive seen some pretty crazy stuff. Most of them also like to smoke cigars much like cigarettes too. They inhale then coughing their brains out and take a puff ever 10 seconds. Im just sitting there enjoying a cigar at a puff a minute. If they cant enjoy a cigar right then I dont have to budget in quality cigars IMO because they wouldn't know the difference.
