I had a bottle of Uinta Brewery's Twisted series... Labyrinth, a black ale.
Thick, thick, and thicker! Between 13 and 14% abv. Lot of flavor but a fair bit of hoppiness and bitterness. Reminded me a bit of the old Harviestown Ola Dubh that was finished in Highland Park casks... Labyrinth was finished in oak casks as well.
A pretty fun beer, but probably not one I will go to again. I like thick, dark beer, but this had a bit too much of a bit (bitter, not alcohol) for my preference. Glad I tried it though.

Because speaking of... its a Monday night, and as is typical of most nights, I'm improving my health one dram at a time... thinning the blood a little, fueling my body with whole grain carbs, and reducing my blood pressure...
and I'm doing all of this with a Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask. A very good whisky, although not as good as the Balvenie 17 Rum Cask... which I seriously need to stop slacking on and just buy another bottle of... I'm down to one and they are disappearing quickly!

cracked open the 1994 Chateau Haut Maillet from Pomerol that I picked up the other day. ok... little thin up front (kind of watery), notes of plum and rhubarb. more earthy than fruity. probably wouldn't buy again... its hard to focus on an area that doesn't knock your socks off.
