I'm going to fry up a nice steak w/butter in a cast-iron skillet.....serve that with some Sichuan green beens, a spinach salad and a Cabernet to drink.

The secret is to sear it on high until you have a nice crust, flip, then transfer to a pre-heated 500 degree oven until medium rare....then remove steak and deglaze skillet with wine over a medium-high heat, add a little more butter and pour over steak.

Never done a steak on anything but a grill. Even better when it's charcoal. And count me in for the mushrooms and onions.
Rainy here, so it looks like pasta tonight.

Rosemary noodles with rabbit Bolognese, Favas with Porcini mushrooms.

Am going to dinner tonight with friends to some swanky restaurant. I would really rather just have a pan fried steak, or some bbq ribs.

But since we are going to "The Waterboy", I picked out something I've never had before. I keep making jokes about how Adam Sandler is going to be our waiter, just to piss off the girl.

Still, we go out with these particular friends every other month to some REALLY nice restaurants. We would do it more often but we really can't afford to. This is tonights restaurant.....http://www.waterboyrestaurant.com/

Stir-fry sirloin tips with red bell pepper, broccoli florettes, zucchini, mushrooms, onions and bean sprouts ... over rice with a mild teriyaki + soy reduction.

Always tastes better the second day.
You should try some of my Sudden Death Sauce. Comes with a skull keychain. Tasty in a remove-the-skin-from-your-tongue kinda way.
