Tonight fixed flank steak with a chimichurri dry rub, red potatoes with butter, and baked beans. Sorry no pics it was great though

Over cooked as I was trying to do too many things at once, but still enjoyable. That's what I get for trying to fry an egg and grill at the same time. Spicy BBQ sauce, fried egg, smoked gouda. A favorite combo of mine.

I came home to steak strips marinated in soy sauce, sweet chili sauce and honey. On the plate it was sprinkled with bleu cheese crumbles and covered with caramelized onions and peppers. It was served with cole slaw as well as roasted potatoes and carrots seasoned with evoo, onion powder, garlic powder and thyme. Drank a little cab sav.

Late in posting this but...I've had an itch for a Cuban sandwich for some time now and I finally scratched it the past Saturday:


...made with some of my smoked pulled pork, Black Forest ham, provolone, deli dill slices, and deli style mustard, and squash in the panini press. Quite tasty.

We went to Outback to celebrate our 29th anniversary a day early. The pictures are a little fuzzy and we started eating before I took the pics (hungry)
The appetizer was seared ahi tuna, crab meat over guacamole with chips and coconut shrimp.

She had steak and a skewer of shrimp.

I had tilapia.

And for dinner: Another item from the appetizer menu, the Black Crusted Pepper Calamari

It's late, I'm stuffed so regardless of how tempting, no dessert. And just my luck, the Cigar Bar closes early on Sunday but, I'll definitely check it out Tuesday night.

Made Chicken Quesadillas for the first time

I grilled some steaks and my fiancé made a crab salad. Nice little spin on surf and turf.

Made beer cheese soup in the crockpot for the first time. Took some tweaking at the end to fix it but turned out pretty good.

Worked a half day so figured I would go with a simple lunch. Leftover beer cheese soup, grilled turkey and sharp cheese on sourdough and some pretzel chips. Might need a nap before grilling out later....
