What the green chunks, looks like Avocado? lots of good stuff in there

Here is the recipe - I'll list my changes below the image.
I halved the recipe, so numbers and figures I use below are for a half recipe.
On step 2, I added the chicken broth and left the shrimp shells in and let it all simmer together, then strained when adding it to other pot later.
Step 4- I used one 10-oz can of Ro-Tel. I pulsed it in the blender with a dash of chicken stock to make them more like crushed tomatoes.
I added a lot of broth to my bowl - it was nice and spicy.
I used 21-25 shrimp this time, may go a size or two smaller next time.
