no sexy pix, but shared a bowl of captain earle honor blend in my nording, catching up with some buddies, who allowed me to share some '08 christmas cheer with them (thanks, steve, they got a WOW moment off it!).

also, you're right, the cp'n earl stuff is SOLID, and imma check out more of them. o)
try Stimulus Package- epic...
I really like Captain Earle's stuff too. Nightwatch & Ten Russians are both great too.

I burned some C&D Oak Alley yesterday evening & was very impressed. VAPer with a little bit of burley & oriental leaf. Excellent blend that I'll prolly grab a few more tins of to age.

Some Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake with thanks to andysc83. This one really hits the spot!! I will be sure to add this to my next order. I won't say this is my favorite VA to date after only one bowl, but it demands some respect IMO and I want to make sure I always have some on hand

First post in this one! Dunhill Nightcap in my new MM cob, both fresh off my newb trade w/ thanks to thedismaltrade. Really enjoying this, though I'm having issues keeping it lit despite my first try at the Frank method. The subtlety and complexity could not be further from that of a cigar. Thanks again, Brother!

Welcome aboard! The packing takes some time and I think we all have issues time to time. Enjoying the smoke is all that matters

Yeah, I've had to relight it every few minutes, but I don't even care. It's so enjoyable, I'm willing to put forth the effort. Can't wait until I can figure out how to do it properly lol.

I, too, I'm still learning how to properly pack and keep it lit.

But, take heart… It gets easier quite quickly. Granted, the ball I'm smoking right now has had to be relit several times. But I think that's because I didn't let the tobacco dry a bit before lighting it. Plus it's pretty humid outside
