H&H AJ's VaPer in a Non Canta La Raganella Prima.

I have only had about three bowls of this and I'm still up in the air as to how I feel about this tobacco. I really like VaPers and at the moment my favorite tobaccos fall into this category. AJ's VaPer has a really nice flavor of sweet plumbs and raisins, but also ends with a sharp spicy note and can be quite bitey. The first bowl I had of this left my tongue raw. Tonight I decided to smoke it in my Non Canta La Raganella Prima because it has a wide shallowish bowl that I have discovered mellows out heavy Latakia English blends, so I thought it was worth a try with to see if it does the same with AJ's. I am happy to report that it does help mellow out the spice, but after finishing the bowl I still had the slightest bit of tongue bite. I really want to like this tobacco but for me the verdict is still out.

Dan's St Bernards Flake in my Ural meerschaum. Great medium VaPer. Heavy on the stewed/dried fruit. Some say it is mildly sweet but it seems pretty sweet to me. Still very smooth and well rounded.

This was my exact impression of Escudo. Both it and Dunhill Navy Rolls are excellent.

HH old dark fired, in my boswell nose warmer, couldnt keep it burning though. I think that is one flake that either needs some dry time or maybe rubbed out first to break it up some. ended up dumping it out and reloading with some prince albert (its what I had in my work coat pocket)

Griz-if you want a long smoke fold and stuff the falke but it needs about 30 minutes drying if left in the flake. If you want a quicker, easier, smoke then rub it out and dry it for 15 minutes. With the flake method I always have some of the rubbed out flake I put on top as kindling.

Yeah, looks like I'm gonna have to rub it some (the tabacco, get your mind outta the gutter)
I would mix it, but, that dark strong is gone.... I need to get some, and dont get any ideas.

HU Scotney in my MM 5th Avenue Diplomat. Very smooth but strong VaPer. Topping is only really noticeable on the snork/retrohale. I'm told it's actually tomato, but it's more sweet than savory. Digging it.

Cool pipe and stem. I guess I am going to have to break down and get a forever stem for mine.
