Does yours use their "proprietary" filter system?
It does, but this pipe has never worn one in my service. It makes it difficult (if even possible) to pass a cleaner as it gets hung up where the filter would stop. Not sure that they offer an insert like the Savinelli...
Recently I was graciously presented another Brigham by the BBE collective, and I smoked that with the filter. They do a pretty good job but I found it noticeably muted the flavors of my MS River.
You've tried them, right?

No - I have never smoked a Brigham. I was rather intrigued initially - but was quickly concerned when reading some reviews from guys claiming that the filters offer a "unique" experience lol. Sounds like code. Code for "muting the flavors" lol.

I have tried a few filter systems - would like to try them all in due course. I am still a fan of the bulsa, but I think all said and done, I still think that your Drew Estate Robusto pipe with it's "tobacco" filter would probably be the best system out there. But I have yet to try that too lol.

One day :).

Look in to one of those RAD pipes from H.Weibe
Same premise as the DE/Tsuge at about 60% of the cost and from a guy you can personally order custom bowls from. Can't get that from the big names.

Good looking out. Thanks. I have given his pipes a look. I just can't get past his long metallic stems. I want to like them but... you like what you like.

I can't find any of Tsuge's "dressed down" versions of the DE pipe anymore either lol. I'll eventually pick up a DE Churchill I am guessing with my love affair I have going on with it - but I am on a Sav-a-thon run right now lol. Must pace... must pace... don't want to pace! Must pace... lol

Smoking some White Knight in a Cob for my BD Bowl. Started to get sick before the move, was sick during and after. Ended up having to keep the moving truck an extra week. Wow was that ever a costly choice.
