How do those Tsuge pipes smoke. I've been thinking about picking one up for over a year now I think.

I really like it. But NOT at the given price point. It smokes great, excellent build quality and some real heft to it, but there's zero artistry there, just mass produced molding and machining.
If you can get one under $150, I'd say consider it. $120, jump.
I still plan to grab the Churchill at some point, if I trip over one at the right price. Love the Robusto, but the bowl is a little shallow, even for me!
If you want to try the same principal but a much more economical price point, check out the Radiators from Hekthor Wiebe. He just had a big sale running around $105/ea, shipped, but even at his regular pricing of $140 you can pick up two of his standard rigs for less than one DE. Or, you could even go full custom commission with him on one and still end up in the black.

I dig those radiator pipes alot. I've been following him for what seems like months on instagram and thought they were cool as hell from the start. Guess I love that industrial look.

Good points about the other one too. I think price is what's kept me from pulling the trigger on those.

^^^ @CaptainRon well, there you go!
Looks like Mike over at TPC still has some at the recent sale price. Not much selection left, but that's a pretty hefty discount all the same!
He was the first Radiator retailer in the states. I think there are a few others now, but I'm not at a computer to do the proper research for you at the moment.

Thanks for the heads up guys. Looks like only the top two straight pipes are available. As a general rule, I don't do straight pipes. Don't know why, but I just don't like straight pipes!

That's OK tho. I over spent the last couple months so need to backoff for a while. He'll make more when I'm ready :)

Yeah, and the straight stem versions feel a little clunky if you're a clencher. Better for relaxing in a chair at home.
The bent styles just hang great while driving.

@cgraunke can you change out the stem on these things or just the bowls?
The bowls and the bits are interchangeable.
The stem and Radiator base are fused.
He just made some different color bits to introduce at the West Coast Pipe Show in Vegas. I've considered making my own from cheap molded stems readily available online, just trimmed and drilled out to fit.
(one more project on the back burner)

Smoking some C&D Yale Mixture in the very first pipe I ever purchased.

The Yale Mixture really caught me off guard. As soon as I opened the jar, I took a smell of the tobacco and immediately recoiled thinking I detected casing/toping. I didn't think this had any of that stuff, and a quick search confirmed as much. And it doesn't taste like it smell, thank goodness. I'm enjoying this one - kind of a very mild english blend.

The pipe is a Baronet Bruyere in shape 611 EX. It's a lower grade Savinelli. I used to think this was a horrible pipe when I was first staring out. It always burned too hot and had all sorts of problems. But as I've gained a bit of experience in smoking pipes, I've learned that all that horrible smoking and hot pipes was just me! This old thing actually smokes quite well and I now enjoy it no matter what tobacco I stuff in it.
