Sorry I haven't replied sooner, but been at the farm working and deer hunting for several days. I'm not sure what you mean by "baked". I've only been smoking a pipe for a year and I don't know a lot about it....I actually pulled out my baggies of PS twist today and found a sample from Dave @Whtwtrman79 that had been baked 12 hours. I'm curious if that would factor any in your bite issue.
I've also only been smoking pipes for about a year. The baked sample I had was courtesy of Mr. Whithers. Supposedly the baking process can simulate what age would do to the tobacco. I've found in the few samples I've tried from him that the overly bitter or acidic flavors die down while the sweet virginias come forward.Sorry I haven't replied sooner, but been at the farm working and deer hunting for several days. Smoke something that is baked versus smoking something and being half baked...hmm...I've also only been smoking pipes for about a year. The baked sample I had was courtesy of Mr. Whithers. But what do I know, he might be able to expand on it a little more than I can @Whtwtrman79

I'll have to look in to it. Maybe I could knock out a pizza and age some tobacco at the same time!I've also only been smoking pipes for about a year.
