Opened a 2010 tin of GLP Jackknife Plug this afternoon. There was a dent in the tin that must have broken the seal at some point as the baccy was dry. Still tasted great in my Moretti Morta though. Jarred it up with a 70% Boveda, so should be better in a couple weeks.

Cornell & Diehl Golden Days of Yore in my Bones pipe.

It was really good actually. This tin was from December 2014 I think? No tongue bite what so ever either. And flavors were consistent all the way down to the end of the bowl. Sometimes I really think that the way I smoke and which pipe I choose to smoke either makes or breaks it sometimes.

Same here! Been trying to smoke the pipe a bit more and do the same thing! I won’t open any new tins yet.

Picked up a couple blends from a shop in Estes Park, CO this past weekend. "Lawman's Blend" in a Savinelli 320 sitting by the river, 7 a.m., 38 degrees F. It was damn near a religious experience.

There are excellent Virginia blends out there, thankfully they are all so different. I still haven't found a Red that comes close to McClelland, straight or in a blend.
