My commute tonight has been delayed. I decided to stay at work an extra hour and a half to let things speed back up again. This happened in the lane going opposite what I will be tonight, but you always have those that want to see "what's going on over there" opeyes: Rush Hour Snarled On I-40 After Fuel Spill

RALEIGH, N.C. -- A truck pulling a trailer has jackknifed and overturned Friday afternoon on Interstate 40 west near Cary Towne Boulevard.
All lanes of I-40 west are blocked at the accident scene, which is just west of the US 1/64 interchange. Traffic is backed up for several miles -- all the way to South Saunders Street.
The traffic tie-ups aren't limited to I-40 -- there are reports that cars are turning off I-40 on various exits, causing delays on side streets that normally are clear, such as Tryon Road.
The North Carolina DOT estimates the wreck will tie up traffic until at least 6 p.m.
It's 7 pm now and traffic is still backed up more than normal in the East bound lanes. Well, about 15 more minutes and I'll fire up this LDF Double Ligero Torp and head for the house.
