Finally an update- All has been hectic for about a month or so. I have kept track of the tubes and here goes:
4/8- Put both in place
4/16- Holding steady 68 large and 69 small
4/21- Large @ 63- recharged. small @ 68.
5/1- Large at 68 and small @ 67
5/8- Large at 67 and small at 66
5/15- Large at 65 and small at 63
Recharging now.

Looks like I probably should be recharging about every 3 to 4 weeks. The first charge was probably not long enough to keep the larger one going as needed. Left it in the water about 15 minutes the second time and seemed to hold a bit longer

Plan to keep these in place. Thanks Ron for allowing me the chance to try out.

Time to update- Charged again this morning. Both holding at 64. I have lost track as to when, but have only charged one other time since posting in May. Working well with no other humidity control in place. Have worked well over the last few months with RH staying between 64 and 69 without fail.

Well its cool that they work.

Is it practical to carry?

I've had *ahem* problems carrying tubos in my front pockets before.

These are just tube humidifiers. There are also other carrying case ron has on his site now. I wonder if anyone makes a bulletproof case.

Another update:
Haven't charged since the week before thanksgiving. RH dropped to 62 percent yesterday. Time to charge it.

Still working well and recommend. Probably should have charged a few weeks ago, keeping the RH avove 63.

I got some of these from Ron's give away on another board and they work great. The larger one has been keeping my Diamond Crown Biltmore office humidor @ 65-67%, the smaller one is in a DC Jamestown which I keep @ 60-62% (I put a wrap of electrical tape at each end to reduce humidty to the 60-62% area) since May. They require refilling every 30-45 days, more in the winter, less in the summer.
