OK. Lets move from the $400 a bottle to the $110 a bottle range. Still very good cognacs.

90 PTS WINE ENTHUSIAST. Amber in color, this mellow and complex cognac is aged a minimum of 22 years and is considered to have the ideal balance between floral and fruity flavors.

Courvoisier XO

90 PTS WINE ENTHUSIAST. A very rare blend of 20 to 50 yr. old cognacs from the Grande Champagne region. Very mature & mellow.

Again? Affordable? I think not, by the glass sounds good to me!
Wait a minute. What does a bottle of Makers Mark cost? Any way each of these come in a smaller bottle at about half the price. Is a Cohiba "affordable? You can usuallly order in better restuarants but they are going to hit you pretty hard. Next step down is VSOP, then VS then brandy. Its sort of like trying your first CC. WOuld you have wanted a machine made Qintero. Nope. Go for the good stuff and you will never be sorry.

MM goes for about $25-$30. I can see cognac is like a rare box of cigars, you only treat yourself to it every once in a while :bdaycake:
