Wisdom Teeth

My 4 are gone also. Took one side on a Friday so I could eat on the other side. Three weeks later did the other side. I liked that idea the best. I took no narcotics due to my issues with them. Dentist told me to double dose ibuprophin every 6 hours as needed. Only had to do that for 1 day. For another 3-4 days regular ibuprophin did the trick. No alcohol at that time either.
I'll never forget the sound the tooth on bone made when he was pulling them out. Also on the second visit, he had to get some bone fragments outta there from te first side, no biggie.

I had all four of mine cut out when I was about 20. I had two that were impacted and pushing against the teeth in front of them causing them to hurt a little. I figured what the hell, there is no use getting two out and having to do the other two later. As far as I'm concerned......bad decision.
Remember I was 20 (10' tall & bulletproof) and was working seven days a week at the time. Had em taken out and went home for the evening. The good drugs wore off that night and I had to go to work in the morning, so nothing but Tylenol for me. I think that is the worst I've every hurt in my life.
If I had it to do all over again, I would definately do two at a time.

its not that bad... I had the laughing gas and thats it... never took the pain medicine after i got home.. played a ton of PS2 and watched quite a few movies, but it wasnt to bad... but yea you just have to watch out for dry socket... they say that it hurts like hell if you get it...
I can actually say having my wisdom teeth out was a pleasurable experience. My dentist used a gel before he injects. He used alot of nitrous oxide...wow does that make anything fun. It didn't hurt a bit and the nitrous made me giggle like a school girl.
Bloody gauze was the worst part for me. The thought of it still makes me want to :barf:caudio51 said:

After a rough night I am doing better. Took a while for the bleeding to stop and clot up. I'm getting some good food in me now and gonna rest up for the rest of the day. Definitely not terrible but not something anyone would really want to do.

Yea, it is pretty gross.
Going back to the drugs. He put the nitrous on and was like breeth deep. I was like, oh like you're doing a whip it (I refrained from making that comment). I was flying pretty quickly and knew I was getting goofy. Then he put in the Valium IV and I was gone. I knew they were pulling the teeth during it but I could have cared less and felt nothing.

Nice to see you're doing better Tom :thumbsup: I took the valium pills and was PASSED OUT!!! I don't remember shit except stumbling to my dads car saying I'm fine and I can walk :rofl: I'm glad the nurse didn't let go and kept walking me to the car!
