My first McCranie's order. Either they don't sell a lot of these blends, or they have a huge warehouse full of them. 'Cause the Red Flake is from 2012 and the Murdock's Pipe is from 2013.
Nope, I haven't opened them. I'm trying to go through my baccy that's in zip lock bags(2oz and under).

I've held off ordering direct because I can't find my check book and I'm too stubborn to buy more blanks knowing they're around somewhere! (no cc orders) But I've bought and enjoyed aged tins off eBay. (their Red Ribbon & Red Flake, don't start bidding me up now!) I think they work kind of like the McC Anny, just certain years get blended/tinned. I think I have only seen two or three different vintages...My first McCranie's order. Want to stock up with them again though, before they release a new one!

They come straight from the store with 2 to 3 years on them to begin with. I already have a jumpstart on the aging process. I think you're safe unless the price per tin is in the $16 and under range.

I'm lucky. I have their oldest store only 30 min from me but I haven't bought any of their blends before..... Lol but the store is awesome! I've bought around 10 tins and a few pipes from them. I've had a terrible time with them recently, have put off making a thread about it, basically cancelled groupons, then had groupon close accts, and make it near impossible to get a refund........ On the border of planning social media warfare with both of themLast year I bought a couple of Groupons for BnB Tobacco and just cashed them in
According to Groupon these had a couple of weeks left. When I clicked on them, it went to BnB and popped a message saying they had expired. I call BnB. A nice lady ask me to email her a screen shot showing the expiration date at Groupon. She called me back and told me to order over the phone so they could make it right. After placing two orders, I only received one confirmation. That was Friday. Today I got worried and called. Another lady looked and said it was delivered yesterday. When I got home, I went to the old truck that is almost always in the driveway. Everything was in the seat.
I needed some more pipe cleaners....and then smokingpipes.com had buy 4 or more Dunhill and get 25% off.....well I think we all know this was going to end

I'm just saying.... I looked at the prices and then went to pipes and cigars and their regular price is within a nickle of the 25% off sale price. Maybe I was two sheets to the wind, anyone else see it that way also?
